These terms are the agreement between you and Skillovert (“Skillovert”, “we”, “us”), a digital-first institute operated from Pakistan. By creating an account or using https://skillovert.com or dashboard.skillovert.com (together, the “Platform”) you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who can use Skillovert
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you.
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. One person, one account.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password and your sign-in codes private and tell us at once if you think someone else has used them.
2. Accounts and sign-in security
Signing in needs your email address, your password and a second step (two-factor sign-in): a six-digit code shown by the Skillovert app on your phone or computer. We may ask you to verify your email address and, for some features, your identity. We may suspend or close an account that is used to cheat, to harm others, or to claim free credits more than once. You can appeal a suspension from the sign-in page.
2a. The Skillovert app
The Skillovert app is a free, installable web app that shows your sign-in code and delivers notifications. You add a device to it with your email, password and a code we email you. Up to five devices can show your code at one time; remove any you no longer have in Settings. Keep your code private: Skillovert will never ask you for it. The app may show an advertisement for a few seconds before your code appears, and you may turn push notifications on or off at any time.
3. What Skillovert offers
- Programs, courses and tracks — structured learning, with progress tracking, feedback and optional certification.
- Tools — software for creators and businesses, such as the YouTube earning estimators and the Cutaways video makers.
- Meetings and events — one-to-one meetings with the founder, coaching and live events, booked with credits.
- Support — help with your account, payments and courses.
- Grants — grantors can pay for learners’ seats.
Some features may be marked “coming soon”. We may add, change or remove features. Where a change would take away something you have already paid for, we will tell you and, where it is fair, give credits back.
4. Credits, memberships and payments
Everything paid inside Skillovert is paid with credits. Credits are a prepaid balance that can only be used on the Platform. They are not money, have no cash value outside Skillovert and cannot be transferred to another person or withdrawn. Prices and the cost of each action are shown before you confirm and may change for future purchases. Full details are in the Credits, memberships and payments page, and refunds are explained in the Refund policy.
5. Your content and your work
You keep ownership of what you create and upload. You give us a limited license to store and show it only as needed to run the service for you (for example, to show your own feedback or to produce your certificate). Tools that run in your browser, such as Cutaways, process your pictures and clips on your own device and do not upload them.
6. Our content
The courses, lessons, tools, designs and text on the Platform belong to Skillovert or its licensors. You may use them for your own learning and work. You may not copy, resell, republish or share course material or paid downloads, or build a competing service from them. See Intellectual property.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to follow the Acceptable use policy.
8. Estimates and educational content
Skillovert teaches and provides tools, but results depend on you and on many things we do not control. Estimates, projections and examples (including the YouTube earnings tools) are not promises or professional advice. See the Tools and earnings disclaimer.
9. Certificates
A certificate is issued only after the steps for that track are completed: finishing the lessons, passing the test and, where required, the certification meeting. Certificates can be verified publicly by their number. We may withdraw a certificate that was obtained dishonestly.
10. Advertising
The public part of the site may show advertisements from us or from third parties, such as Google. See the Advertising page and the Cookie policy.
11. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep the Platform running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Skillovert is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, income or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Ending your account
You can stop using Skillovert at any time and ask us to close your account through support. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Credits left on an account that is closed for breaking these terms may be lost; credits are never paid out as money, and otherwise they stay for later use.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for important changes, tell you in the dashboard or by email. Using the Platform after a change means you accept it.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Please contact us first so we can try to fix a problem; if we cannot, the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived.
